Gurshaan Singh Sidhu
TRC CANDIDATE
“I am most passionate about Health and Wellness. It directly affects every aspect of the student experience. Many Sheridan students are navigating heavy academic workloads while also managing financial pressures, employment commitments, family responsibilities, and personal challenges.”
-

ADRIEN DARANCIANG
TRC CANDIDATE
“The lack of student housing resources is one of the biggest issues for students on campus. The SSU is a big part of students' understanding of and access to student services, and I want to advocate for services that benefit students in their housing searches and living situations.“
-

Peter Kyadondo
TRC CANDIDATE
“Advocating for cultural representation and inclusion is important to me because much of my life has been shaped by navigating systems that were not designed with people like me in mind. This perspective has stayed with me and informs how I approach leadership, governance, and advocacy.“
-

Wyatt Wustrau
TRC CANDIDATE
“ We do not have much advocating for the environment and sustainability currently. There are 17 sustainable development goals that the United Nations believe we should hit by 2030. I know that we can hit those if we have a focus on them, and I want to bring a focus to the SSU for that.”
-

Diana Tello
TRC CANDIDATE
“Advocating for Cultural Representation and Inclusion is most important to me because I come from a very multicultural background, and my personal experiences are a representation and have shaped my identity.“
-

Manav Surti
TRC CANDIDATE
“Financial pressure is the most immediate and unavoidable challenge affecting students’ academic performance, well-being, and ability to fully engage in their education. I have seen how financial stress quietly shapes student decisions in ways that are rarely discussed openly.”
-

RITA ZHANG
TRC CANDIDATE
“Transportation is currently one of the most important things for me. I know many students who commute 2 hours one way, not because they want to, but because they have to. This cuts into a lot of time for students, when they can be maximizing on school activities and academics.”

-

BHUPINDER SINGH
HMC CANDIDATE
“I think when we say 'health,' we often confuse it with physical health; however, the most important thing is our mental health. I am dedicated to advocating for more accessible wellness workshops and peer-to-peer support groups that address the unique pressures of student life, ensuring that every individual has the tools they need to flourish both personally and professionally during their time at college.”
-

Liz Chen
HMC CANDIDATE
”Advocating for financial support through scholarships, bursaries, and awards is deeply important to me. Through my work and involvement at Sheridan, I have learned that financial struggles affect both international and domestic students. I want to be a voice for students who feel overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure of where to turn.”
-

HILLARY KAMULEGEYA
HMC CANDIDATE
“Advocating for financial support is most important because I have a general interest in helping students, and, as someone who has been in a different country, I understand how financial support can impact a student's experience at school. I believe that the sooner the Sheridan Student Union can act on these, the better the student experience.”
-

NAVDEEP KAUR
“I believe financial stability plays a critical role in a student’s ability to succeed both academically and personally. No student should feel discouraged or forced to abandon their goals due to financial challenges beyond their control. Financial support, such as bursaries and awards, plays a crucial role in reducing these barriers that students face while trying to balance multiple responsibilities.”
-

Thien Nhat
HMC CANDIDATE
“When students receive timely financial assistance, it will become motivation to overcome financial difficulties at the beginning. This helps them focus on learning, on-campus activities, and hands-on experiences. As a Director, I want to ensure student voices are heard in financial decision-making and that resources are allocated transparently and responsibly to support those who need them most.”
-

Nishi Chudasama
HMC CANDIDATE
“Advocating for Cultural Representation and Inclusion is deeply personal to me because it directly reflects my own journey as an immigrant student at Sheridan. As a Board member, I want to advocate for stronger culturally responsive services alongside existing supports such as scholarships, bursaries, appeals assistance, and mental health resources.”
-

ALEJANDRA FRAILE
HMC CANDIDATE
“I believe students deserve financial systems that are transparent, accessible, and responsive to their realities. As a Board member, I would bring a student-informed perspective grounded in lived experience. I care about ensuring that financial support programs are communicated clearly, administered fairly, and designed with student needs in mind.
-

HARDEEP SINGH
HMC CANDIDATE
“Advocating for Health and Wellness is my top priority because a student’s academic success is only as strong as their mental and emotional foundation. For me, wellness is not just a buzzword but a fundamental right. I am also driven by the idea of "community care," where students look out for one another. Wellness is not just about professional services, but it is also about building a campus culture where peers are equipped to support each other.”

Sunmisola Kolawole
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ Advocating for Health and wellness is most important to me because my life has been shaped by it.School can be overwhelming, and many students face stress, burnout, financial pressure, family responsibilities, or mental health challenges that affect their well-being. Students often forget to take a break, seek help, or even go for regular checkups because survival becomes a priority.“
-

Suryansh Sharma
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ Cultural representation and inclusion are deeply important to me at Sheridan College because they shape how students feel, learn, and succeed within the campus community. Cultural representation is about more than celebrating festivals or hosting events. It is about ensuring that all students feel their voices matter in decision-making spaces, student leadership, classrooms, and campus activities.”
-

Agambir Singh
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ As someone who has led diverse teams from sports to technology, I understand that true leadership means recognizing and addressing our community's core challenges. As your Board representative, I envision a Sheridan where accessing Empower Me is as natural as visiting the library, where seeking support is seen as a sign of strength, not weakness. -

Maham Noor
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ Advocating for health and wellness is most important to me because I have seen, both academically and through lived experience within student spaces, how deeply mental, emotional, and physical well-being shape a person’s ability to learn, connect, and thrive.”
-

NEET PATEL
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“For commuting students, transportation is not just an inconvenience—it directly affects academic performance, attendance, mental well-being, and overall access to education. As colleges expand across multiple campuses and serve increasingly diverse student populations, the lack of reliable and affordable transportation between campuses creates an unnecessary barrier to success.“
-

EVNEET KAUR
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“I am most passionate about advocating for Financial Support: Scholarships, Bursaries, and Awards because access to funding is one of the most significant factors that can influence a student’s ability to succeed academically and fully engage in campus life. Many students face challenges managing tuition, living expenses, and other costs associated with pursuing post-secondary education, all while balancing their studies and part-time work.”
-

Om Rana
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ i am running for the SSU Board because I live the "student struggle" every day. For international students, college is a high-stakes balancing act. We aren’t just students; we are managers of our own survival, juggling full-time classes and field placements with part-time jobs and the rising cost of living. -

Navish Jindal
DAVIS CANDIDATE
“ If elected to the Board of Directors, I will advocate for a restructuring of awards to include more merit-based support and specific bursaries for technical students. Currently, many students like myself are forced to limit our involvement in clubs and governance simply because we cannot afford the time away from our part-time jobs. If financial aid were more accessible, it would buy us the time to fully engage.”
